Miamily Carry-On Review: Is This Ride-Along Suitcase Worth It?
If you’ve ever tried to wrangle a toddler through a busy airport, you know it’s no small feat.
That’s why I’m so excited to share my new favorite piece of luggage with you: the Miamily Carry-On.
It’s perfect for families traveling with little ones who want the freedom of leaving the stroller at home — without sacrificing convenience.
In this post, I’m sharing my favorite features of the Miamily Carry-On, some tips for getting the most out of it, and my honest thoughts after testing it out. (I’m reviewing the 20″ carry-on size!)
About Miamily
Miamily is a Swiss brand that creates travel gear made by parents, for parents. Their focus is on solving real-world travel challenges families face — and it shows.
Everything they design is built for function, durability, and a little bit of fun (exactly what you need when taking a family vacation!).

My Favorite Features
- The Ride-Along Feature: This is the star of the show! The Miamily Carry-On has a backrest that folds up and includes a built-in safety belt. Your child can sit safely and comfortably while you roll them through the airport.
✨ Bonus: it can hold up to 220 pounds, so even older kids (or tired adults!) can take a seat when needed. No more sitting on gross airport floors! - Durability: The second I unwrapped the Miamily Carry-On, I could tell it was made from high-quality materials. It feels solid, sturdy, and ready for years of travel adventures.
- Beautiful Color: I chose the Forest Green color, and it’s even prettier in person — a deep, rich green that feels stylish but still family-friendly.
- 360° Wheels: The smooth-rolling wheels glide effortlessly across the airport, making it super easy to maneuver even with a kiddo riding along.
- Bag Hook on the Back: There’s a handy little hook that lets you hang a backpack, diaper bag, or shopping bag right on the suitcase. Huge help when your hands are already full!
- Functionality: Thoughtful design features like lots of zippered compartments, a waterproof pocket (for those inevitable spills), and a built-in TSA lock.
- 5-Year Warranty: Miamily backs up their craftsmanship with a five-year warranty, which gives so much peace of mind for an investment piece like this.

Tips for Using the Miamily Carry-On
- Always Supervise Your Child: Miamily recommends the ride-along feature for kids ages 2+, and it’s important to keep an eye on them while riding.
- Leave the Stroller at Home: If your child is big enough to ride on the carry-on, it’s an easy way to travel lighter without the bulk of a stroller.
- Use the Bag Hook: Take advantage of the bag hook to consolidate all your gear and roll everything smoothly to the gate.
- Practice Before Your Trip: Let your child practice riding on the suitcase at home or in a quiet area of the airport first. It’ll help them (and you) feel more confident using it when the airport is busy.
- Keep Essentials Accessible: Pack snacks, wipes, and entertainment in the outer compartments so you can grab them without digging through your whole bag.

Is it Worth It?
The Miamily Carry-On is definitely a luxury luggage item with a higher price tag, but if you’re able to splurge, it’s a fun and functional piece of travel gear that you’ll get a ton of use out of.
It’s one of the best travel hacks I’ve found for making airport travel easier and more fun when you’re traveling with little ones. Plus, knowing I can roll a tired kid (or even sit myself!) instead of hunting for a seat at a crowded gate? Priceless.
If you’re ready to travel lighter, ditch the stroller, and add a little fun to your airport routine, the Miamily Carry-On might just be the perfect addition to your family’s adventures!
